COMMODORE PERRY SCHOOL BOARD MEETING May 20th, 2002 PersonnelThe Board approved the addition of Mary Prosser to the list of substitute aides. The Board accepted the resignation of Wayne Smith as Elementary Wrestling Coordinator, Laura Chesmer as Drama Club Advisor, Tami Cawthorne as Drama Club and Journalism Advisor, and Theresa Knierman as caller of substitutes. The Board approved the employment of Laura Beatty as Head Volleyball Coach. The Board approved Mrs. Holly Thomas as Camp Kids Instructor. The Board approved the attendance of Mr. Les Cattron at the School Law Workshop June 17-18, 2002 at Slippery Rock University. Academic AffairsThe Board approved the Read to Succeed summer program. The Board approved homebound education for an elementary student. The Board approved the tentative graduation list. The Board recognized the members of the state qualifying Academic Decathlon Team and the members of the state qualifying FBLA Team. OperationsThe Board approved the presentation of Policy #713 - AED. The Board named Bollinger Insurance Co. as the provider for the 2002-03 school year student accident insurance. The Board accepted the consortium proposal submitted by MIU IV for the following federal programs: Title II-A, Title II-D, and Title V. The Board named First National Bank of Pennsylvania as the District's Treasurer and depository for the General, Payroll, Activity, Athletic, and Cafeteria accounts. The Board named the following institutions as depositories for temporary investments: First National Bank of PA, National City Bank, Mercer County State Bank, Skybank, Citizens Bank, PNC, PSDLAF, PLGIT, and the INVEST Program of the State Treasurer. The Board adopted the 2002-03 school budget totaling $6,193,550. The Board approved the following tax levies to support the 2002-03 school budget:
