Narrative:
All grade levels and the district as a whole met adequate yearly progress (AYP)
standards as set forth in No Child Left Behind (NCLB). Grade 3 data is added this year for
the first time with exceptional results being achieved by our students. Grade 8 is the
only grade that did not show significant improvement. This is being addressed through
focused professional development and supervision as well as collaborative efforts on the
part of all who can impact these scores. Grade 5 and Grade 11 data showed significant
gains in student achievement levels. In addition, significant gains were made in the IEP
and Economically Disadvantaged subgroups. Graduation and Attendance rates are holding
steady and are very strong. Overall, we are very pleased with the results this year and
continue to strive to show continued improvement in future years.
