Meet the Panthers Night
August 28, 2007 at 6:00 pm in the Commodore Perry High School Gym
All players will attend. Practice will be adjusted accordingly. Parents are strongly
encouraged to attend.
Our first goal this year will be to work on teamwork, conditioning, and
skill development. The team receives players from each school and sometimes it can be
difficult to learn to play together. We will be doing a number of things in practice to
learn, respect, and get along with each other. Without this we do not have a team. Second,
we plan to work on skills such as passing, dribbling, and shooting, as these are key
elements of soccer. Third, "seeing the field" is the ultimate skill. Through
passing and possession drills we can develop that skill.
We believe that hard work pays off. With this come time, effort, and
enthusiasm for soccer. You need it to play.
We will have a list of rules and policies for the team. These may or may not be different
from last year, but a new season means a new set of rules and policies to follow. We are
sure that you understand.
Sincerely,
Chad Gongaware
