Student Dress Code
These dress code regulations should be considered
as clothing purchases are made for the school year.
The purpose of your dress code is to set reasonable standards
that will maintain a safe, proper school atmosphere and decorum. Thank you for your
continued cooperation!
The following is considered proper dress:
- All clothing and accessories must be neat, safe, clean and appropriate for a school
setting.
 | "Low Riders", baggy pants, and pants dragging on the floor
are not considered safe or appropriate. ("Bell Bottom"
maximum width is 11 inches.) |
- Clothing (including T-shirts, sweat shirts, buttons) advertising or making reference to
alcoholic beverages, bars, drugs, tobacco products, obscene slogans or images are not
permitted.
- Tube tops, spaghetti strap, muscle shirts, sleepwear, exposed
undergarments, bare midriffs, frayed jeans, and halters
are not permitted.
- Hats, bandanas, scarves and coats are not
to be worn during instructional school hours. (8:00am - 3:00pm)
- Footwear must be worn at all times.
- Shorts, skirts and dresses are permitted as acceptable school dress, if in compliance
with #1.
 | All shorts, skirts and dresses whose length is higher then 5 inches above the middle of
the knee are unacceptable. |
- Cut-offs and spandex are unacceptable.
- No chains, ropes or other items hanging from clothing or large chain jewelry
around neck, wrists, etc. Safety concerns make these items unacceptable.
- Natural colors of hair are appropriate. Other colors such as: pink, blue,
etc. will not be accepted.
- Students not following dress code will be subject to consequences according to school
code.
Final Judgement in cases of questionable dress
will rest with the Administration.
Book bags, back packs and duffel bags are not permitted in classrooms because of safety
concerns.
